Annapurna Base Camp Budget Trek

This trek takes you from Kathmandu into the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary, following trails through Gurung and Magar villages to the foot of Annapurna itself. You get the classic Himalayan trekking experience of forested hills, hanging bridges, and a base camp view, packed into a tight six-day frame.

After a look around Kathmandu's heritage sites, you drive west to Pokhara and on to Phedi, where the actual walking starts. From there the trail climbs through Chhomrong and along the Chhomrong River, past Dovan and Hinku Cave to Himalaya village, then up to Machhapuchhre Base Camp before the final push to Annapurna Base Camp.

On the way back down you stop at Jhinu Danda for a soak in the natural hot springs, a fair reward before the return drive to Pokhara and Kathmandu. It's run as a private, budget-focused trip, so you get the same route and views without the frills.
