About this trip
A short introduction to the Annapurna Himalayas, combining a few days of trekking with time in Kathmandu and Pokhara. You walk through rhododendron forest and stone-step trails up to Ghorepani, then climb to Poonhill for sunrise over Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre.
The route passes through Gurung and Magar villages, with a chance to stay in a homestay and see how people actually live in the hills rather than just pass through. It's a trek built around one big payoff view rather than days of high-altitude walking.
Bookended by drives along the Prithvi Highway and time by Phewa Lake in Pokhara, this suits people who want a real taste of the mountains without committing to a long or technical trek.
