About this trip
This is the classic Everest Base Camp trek condensed into 11 days, built for people who want the full Himalayan experience without a long stretch of annual leave. You follow the well-trodden route through Sherpa villages up to the foot of the world's highest mountain.
Along the way you get close views of Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam, and time to take in the culture and hospitality of the Khumbu region, before reaching Everest Base Camp itself.
It's a guided trip with permits, accommodation, meals and guides sorted for you, aimed at trekkers who want a straightforward, well-organised route to EBC on a tighter schedule.
What you'll do
- Trek through Sherpa villages in the Khumbu region
- Take in views of Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam
- Reach Everest Base Camp at the foot of the world's highest mountain
- Experience local culture and hospitality along the trail
- Condensed 11-day itinerary means a faster pace and less acclimatisation buffer than longer EBC treks
- High-altitude trek, so a reasonable level of fitness and some trekking experience will help
- Fully guided with permits, accommodation and meals included
Worth it if you get a strong guide like Sengi, Santosh or Narayan and book direct flights carefully. Think twice if logistics crisis support matters—comms breaks down when things go wrong.
- Top guides (Sengi, Santosh, Narayan) genuinely excel: knowledgeable, attentive to acclimatization, well-connected at tea houses.
- Core logistics solid: food, accommodation and porter support consistently praised; company responsive before trek starts.
- When Lukla flights cancel, company offers poor crisis support: guides deflect, communication fails, you arrange own heli.
- Guide quality varies sharply; some disengaged (on phone, walking behind, unclear communication), others exceptional and transformative.
