About this trip
Six days in the Northern Territory with a small group of families, covering the Red Centre's big landmarks by foot, bike and road. A local leader stays with you throughout, and an Anangu guide brings the Uluru and Kata Tjuta sections to life with stories from Creation Time.
Beyond the two icons, you head out to the ochre ranges of Tjoritja (West MacDonnell Ranges), the gorges of Finke Gorge National Park, and an asteroid crater along the way, with wallabies and other wildlife turning up in between.
It's built for families, with children on past trips averaging around 12 years old, though the minimum age is five. Expect proper Outback distances between stops and a fair bit of walking, so it suits families comfortable with an active, moderately paced holiday.
