About this trip
Seventeen days through seven capitals, starting in Copenhagen and finishing in Vilnius, taking in the Nordic and Baltic countries in one long sweep. It's a city-to-city trip with a fully guided group, so the days are structured around landmark sights rather than downtime.
You move through Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius, with each stop built around its old town, main square or standout landmark. There's an option to add on the Norwegian Fjords if you want more nature and less city.
This suits people who want breadth over depth — a proper overview of the region's capitals rather than settling into one place.
What you'll do
- Wander Copenhagen's Nyhavn harbour
- Walk through Oslo's Vigeland Sculpture Park
- Explore Stockholm's old town, Gamla Stan
- Visit Helsinki's Suomenlinna Fortress
- Get lost in Tallinn's medieval Old Town
- See the Art Nouveau architecture of Riga
- A lot of ground covered — expect to change city and base regularly over the 17 days
- Norwegian Fjords can be added on as an extra if you want time outside the cities
- Guided throughout, so sightseeing is largely structured rather than freeform
