About this trip
Four days built around Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu, covering the core Inca sites without much rushing between them.
You take in Sacsayhuaman and Koricancha in Cusco, then head into the Sacred Valley to Pisac and Ollantaytambo before the main event: Machu Picchu itself, with views out over the Andes.
It is fully guided throughout, pitched as straightforward sightseeing rather than trekking, and works well for families or groups wanting the highlights in a short window.
What you'll do
- Explore the Inca walls of Sacsayhuaman and the temple of Koricancha in Cusco
- Visit the Pisac ruins and market town in the Sacred Valley
- Walk the terraces and fortress at Ollantaytambo
- Take the classic route into Machu Picchu with Andean mountain and highland views
- Machu Picchu entry is meant to be via Circuit 2 (the classic route), but this depends on availability — Circuit 1 or 3 may be substituted
- A private guide is required at Machu Picchu itself and comes at an extra cost, on top of the package price
