CUSCO ADVENTURE EXPRESS

Start & end in Cusco 5 days Up to 18

About this trip

Five days covering Cusco's essential sights, from the city itself out to the Sacred Valley, up to Rainbow Mountain, and on to Machu Picchu.

You start in Cusco, exploring the old Inca capital, then head into the Sacred Valley where Inca terraces once grew crops to feed the city. From there it's up to the striped slopes of Vinicunca, better known as Rainbow Mountain, before the trip closes with Machu Picchu itself.

A fairly fast-paced sweep through the region's biggest names, suited to travellers who want to see the highlights in a short window rather than linger in any one place.

What you'll do

  • Explore the historic centre of Cusco
  • Visit the Sacred Valley's Inca agricultural terraces
  • Hike to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)
  • Visit the citadel of Machu Picchu
Good to know
  • Five days is a tight schedule for Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Rainbow Mountain, and Machu Picchu, so expect a full itinerary with little downtime
  • Cusco and Rainbow Mountain both sit at high altitude, worth factoring in if you're prone to altitude sickness
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you want guides who genuinely know Incan history and handle logistics flawlessly. Think twice if you're prone to altitude sickness without backup support.

  • Tour guides consistently deliver deep Incan history knowledge and storytelling; several named as standout assets.
  • Reservation agents and guides handle disruptions well—missed flights, illness, late arrivals managed promptly.
  • Altitude sickness mentioned once; guide accommodation helped, but no proactive acclimatisation plan flagged in reviews.
  • Hotels and transport bundled in package; clean vans and good accommodation, so no surprise costs on lodging.
