About this trip
Ten days across Bolivia, moving from colonial cities to the salt flats and up to Lake Titicaca. You get a real spread of the country's different faces, from Sucre's whitewashed streets to the stark landscapes of the altiplano.
The middle stretch is the highlight for most: Potosí, Uyuni and the Sud Lípez region, where salt flats, coloured lagoons and desert scenery give way to Andean wildlife. La Paz and Copacabana round things out before you finish at Lake Titicaca.
This suits you if you want a broad introduction to Bolivia rather than a deep dive into one region — a mix of city touring, culture and dramatic nature in a fairly compact trip.
What you'll do
- Explore Sucre's historic centre and learn about local weaving traditions in Tarabuco
- Cross the Salar de Uyuni salt flats
- Travel through the Sud Lípez region's coloured lagoons and desert scenery
- Take the cable cars over La Paz and visit the Valley of the Moon
- Visit Copacabana and Isla del Sol on Lake Titicaca
- Covers a lot of ground in ten days, with several changes of base and altitude
- High-altitude travel throughout — Potosí, Uyuni and La Paz all sit well above sea level
