About this trip
Sixteen days across China, from the Great Wall to the Hong Kong skyline, taking in the sites that define the country's history and the cities that show where it's headed.
You'll walk sections of the Great Wall and the Forbidden City in Beijing, stand in front of the Terracotta Warriors in Xi'an, and spend time with pandas in Chengdu. A Yangtze cruise through the Three Gorges breaks up the pace before Yangshuo's limestone countryside and a final stretch in Hong Kong.
It's a wide-angle introduction to China — old capitals, a river cruise, a rural detour, and two of Asia's biggest cities, covering a lot of ground without staying anywhere long enough to settle in.
