About this trip
This is a self-drive loop out of Inverness covering the full NC500, one of the better-known scenic driving routes in the world, taking in the North Coast on the way out and the West Coast on the way back.
Over 8 days you're covering more than 500 miles at your own pace, with the freedom to stop where you like — a beach, a castle, a distillery, a viewpoint. It's private and self-guided, so the route is set but the timing is yours.
Along the way there's rugged coastline, white sand beaches, castles and heritage sites, whisky, local food, and a good chance of spotting wildlife and meeting locals in small villages and towns.
