About this trip

Eight days covering Egypt's big three sites - Cairo, Luxor and Aswan - with domestic flights and a Nile cruise doing the heavy lifting between them, so you spend your time at the monuments rather than travelling to them.

Days start at the Pyramids and Egyptian Museum in Cairo, then a flight south to board a cruise ship for the temple-heavy stretch between Luxor and Aswan. An Egyptologist guide travels with you throughout, so the history behind each site is explained on the spot rather than left to a guidebook.

This is a private, fully guided trip, which suits families or those who'd rather not join a fixed group and want the pace set around them.

What you'll do

  • Stand before the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx
  • Explore the Egyptian Museum's collection
  • Cruise the Nile with full-board meals included
  • Visit Karnak and Luxor Temples and the Valley of the Kings
  • See Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples en route to Aswan
  • Visit the Temple of Philae
Good to know
  • Private trip, so it runs on your own schedule rather than with a fixed group
  • Domestic flights and a Nile cruise cover the longer distances, keeping travel time low
  • Easy pace, suited to families or those who want a comfortable introduction to Egypt
