About this trip
Twenty-two days across Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, tracing the old Silk Road through five countries that rarely get equal billing on a single itinerary.
You move from Kyrgyzstan's high mountain lakes to the Pamirs of Tajikistan, then on to the UNESCO cities and bazaars of Uzbekistan and the deserts of Turkmenistan, with a guide throughout and your own room each night.
It's a long, full-region trip rather than a quick taster — good for anyone who wants real ground covered across Central Asia rather than just the Uzbekistan highlights.
