About this trip
This trek pairs the classic Ghorepani Poon Hill route in the Annapurna region with daily yoga and meditation, so you get both the physical trek and a chance to slow down and breathe at the end of each day.
After time in Kathmandu, you head out from Nayapul through rhododendron forests, past traditional villages and suspension bridges, climbing gradually toward Ghorepani and the sunrise viewpoint at Poon Hill, with the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri and Fishtail Mountain in view along the way.
It is pitched as easy to moderate, fitting a proper Himalayan trek and a look at local life and culture into under two weeks, with a community visit in Ghandruk and a cooking class in Kathmandu rounding things out.
What you'll do
- Watch sunrise over the Himalayas from Poon Hill
- Trek through dense rhododendron, pine and bamboo forest to Ghorepani
