About this trip
This is a walking trip through western Bhutan that mixes valley hikes with high-altitude camping and monastery visits, built around an overnight trek to the remote Bumdra Monastery. You cross three valleys, each with its own character, before climbing to camp under the stars in Himalayan wilderness.
The route follows old pilgrimage trails, ending with a visit to Taktsang, the cliffside Tiger's Nest Monastery that is one of Bhutan's most recognisable sights. It is as much about the culture and quiet of the walk as the scenery.
Camping gear, meals and guiding are all sorted for you, and departures go ahead even with a single traveller booked on.
