About this trip
This is an 11-day walking holiday through central and western Bhutan, built around moderate day hikes rather than long treks. You move through the region at a walking pace, taking in village life, forests and protected areas along the way.
Alongside the walking there's a strong focus on culture — local customs, traditions and daily life get equal billing with the landscapes. A homestay option lets you spend a night or two living with a Bhutanese family rather than in a hotel.
A certified local guide leads the route, though the trip is only partially guided, so there's a mix of structured walking days and time to explore or rest at your own pace.
