About this trip

Nine days through Kerala, moving from hill country to wildlife reserves to the backwaters and down to the coast. It's a private, fully guided tour, so the pace is set around you rather than a fixed group.

It's built as a relaxing, family-friendly trip rather than a fast-moving adventure, and it's also offered as a Christmas and New Year option.

What travellers actually say

Worth it if you want reliable logistics, great drivers, and authentic Kerala without fuss. Think twice if you expect luxury hotel standards or guaranteed itinerary adherence.

  • Drivers consistently go above and beyond: negotiate market prices, speak local language, keep cars spotless daily.
  • Tour operators respond quickly to feedback; chef adapted meals within hours when spice preference was mentioned.
  • Hotel standards inconsistent; some fall short of typical 3-star Asian hotels despite being clean and tidy.
  • Scheduled itineraries sometimes don't materialise; Alleppey canal visit was missed despite being planned.
