About this trip
This trip pairs a Kathmandu city tour with a trek to Poon Hill, one of the classic Himalayan viewpoints, without needing weeks of holiday time.
You start in Kathmandu, wandering old alleyways and temple squares before flying to Pokhara for the lakes and hills. From there the trek proper begins, climbing stone stairways through oak and rhododendron forest to the village of Ghorepani.
It's a solid mix of culture and mountain walking, with the reward being sunrise over the Annapurna range from Poon Hill.
