About this trip
A week of daily walking through the Picos de Europa, based in one village rather than moving around, so you get to actually settle into a place rather than just pass through it.
You're staying in Sotres, the highest village in Asturias, at a family-run hotel with homemade Asturian food, and each day heads out into a different part of the national park's western, central and eastern massifs.
It's as much about rural northern Spain as the mountains themselves — meeting cheesemakers, eating locally, sleeping in the same bed all week.
