About this trip
Ten days in the Galápagos aboard the Yolita, a motor boat cruise taking in the central, southern and eastern islands. Seven nights aboard mean you wake up somewhere new most days, with wildlife encounters built into the itinerary rather than left to chance.
Expect white-sand beaches shared with sea lions, iguanas and giant tortoises, plus hikes and snorkelling stops through some of the archipelago's most distinctive landscapes.
It's a small-group, fully guided trip, so someone else handles the logistics of getting between islands while you focus on what's in front of you.
What you'll do
- Cruise between the central, southern and eastern Galápagos Islands aboard the Yolita
- Share white-sand beaches with sea lions, iguanas and giant tortoises
- Hike Punta Pitt and look out for all three species of booby
- Snorkel at Devil's Crown
- Stop at Post Office Bay to leave or collect a postcard, following the site's centuries-old tradition
- A moderate-activity trip involving hikes and snorkelling alongside boat time
- You're based on the boat throughout, moving between islands most days
Worth it if you're keen on wildlife, snorkeling and don't mind early starts on a modest 16-person yacht. Think twice if you need luxury cabins or dislike group travel.
- Guide quality is genuinely exceptional—reviewers specifically name-checked local naturalists for knowledge and infectious enthusiasm.
- Snorkeling and hiking across varied islands deliver real adventure; each island distinctly different with no filler stops.
- Crew handle daily cabin cleaning, fresh meals and logistics meticulously; small 16-person yacht creates intimate, tight group dynamic.
- Modest yacht means compact cabins and shared spaces—comfort level depends on your tolerance for close quarters at sea.
