About this trip

This 12-day trip through Nepal mixes city history, wildlife tracking and mountain scenery, with a small group of fellow solo-ish travellers to share it with.

You'll start in the Kathmandu Valley learning to make momos with local hosts before exploring the temples and old streets of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. From there it's a jeep safari in Chitwan, a hike up to Gorkhali temple near Gorkha, and time to unwind by the lake in Pokhara.

It's a good fit if you want the reassurance of a group and a private room to retreat to, without needing to plan every stop yourself.

You land in Kathmandu and meet your transfer at the airport, then head to the hotel for a welcome meeting. That evening, you'll cook momos (Nepali dumplings) with local host families before eating them together with broths and chutneys—a proper first night introduction to Nepal and your travel group.
Today is for getting properly acquainted. You'll visit Boudhnath Stupa and nearby monasteries, then head to Pashupatinath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Lunch happens at a local family home where you cook and eat together, before finishing with Old Durbar Square and the Golden Temple.
You travel to Bhaktapur, the historic city, to explore Durbar Square, Pottery Square and Dattatreya Square—all packed with ancient architecture and local crafts. In the afternoon your group heads to nearby Thimi for a surprise before returning to Bhaktapur for the evening.
The morning brings the Champa Devi Hike, a climb that gains roughly 600 metres with views over the mountains and Kathmandu city at the top. You'll tour Dhakshinkali Temple and Asura Cave in Pharping in the afternoon, then enjoy an outdoor Nepalese barbecue that evening.
You drive to Royal Chitwan National Park for the afternoon, cycling along the Narayani River to catch the sunset with tea and biscuits. That evening you'll watch a Tharu Cultural Dance performance before dinner.
A 4x4 jeep safari takes you into the national park to search for tigers. The afternoon involves visiting the local community to get henna applied, spending time with the women's group in Chitwan.
You drive to Gorkha—a scenic four-hour journey—and spend the afternoon exploring the town with your group, visiting the Gorkha Palace and Museum.
You hike up to Gorakhkali Temple; it's a challenging climb but the views of the mountain peaks at the top are worth it. A car option gets you closer if you prefer an easier twenty-minute walk instead. You'll also see the Ram Shah Chautaro statue and Sati Pipal on the way back down, with the evening free.
You drive to the lakeside town of Pokhara, another four-hour journey through Nepal's scenery. After arriving you'll visit the World Peace Pagoda, then have the evening to yourself.
It's your Me Day in Pokhara—spend it however you like, either exploring solo to strengthen your independent travel skills or joining your CEO and group for a scavenger hunt around town that connects you with locals and other travellers.
You wake before sunrise and drive near the top of Sarangkot to walk to the summit and watch the sunrise. Then breakfast happens in a nearby village with a local initiative supporting women, before you fly back to Kathmandu for one final group dinner reflecting on the trip together.
You arrived solo and you're leaving with new friends. Say goodbye to your group and depart Kathmandu at any time.
