About this trip
This trek takes you around Mt Manaslu, the world's eighth highest peak, on a trail that sees a fraction of the traffic you'd find in the Everest or Annapurna regions. It's a restricted area near the Tibetan border, so you're walking through remote villages where Buddhist and mountain traditions are still part of daily life, not a tourist show.
Over 14 days you'll climb steadily through changing terrain and altitude, crossing suspension bridges and rough Himalayan trail before the big push over Larke La Pass at 5,106 metres. The reward is close-up views of Manaslu and its surrounding peaks, along with the wildlife and vegetation that come with such an unspoiled region.
Guides are locals from the Himalayan region who handle the permits, logistics and daily pace, and the itinerary can flex around solo travellers, couples or families.

- Off-the-beaten, raw wilderness experience means fewer crowds and untouched terrain, but requires solid fitness and mental resilience.
