Everest Base Camp Trek

Start & end in Kathmandu 15 days Up to 30

About this trip

This is the classic trek through the Khumbu region of Nepal, following the trail to Everest Base Camp over 15 days. You'll walk through Sherpa villages, rhododendron forests and high alpine terrain, with the mountains growing larger and starker as you climb.

It's a private, fully guided trip, so the group is just you (and whoever you're travelling with) plus your guide, which gives some flexibility on pace — useful if you're trekking as a family or want more breathing room at altitude.

Expect long days on foot, thinning air, and simple teahouse lodges rather than comfort. The reward is reaching Base Camp itself and looking up at Everest from ground level.

What you'll do

  • Trek through Sherpa villages in the Khumbu Valley
  • Acclimatise in Namche Bazaar, the region's main trading town
  • Visit Tengboche Monastery with its views of Ama Dablam
  • Reach Everest Base Camp on foot
  • Climb Kala Patthar for sunrise views of Everest
Good to know
  • Fully guided and private, so pacing can be adjusted for families or slower walkers
  • High altitude trekking — expect breathlessness and cold nights, and build in time to acclimatise
  • 15 days is enough to go steadily, but this is still a demanding walk, not a gentle holiday
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you want a genuinely transformative high-altitude trek with exceptional local guides. Think twice if you need flexibility around weather disruptions or prefer smaller group dynamics.

  • Guides like Shiva, Govindra, and Santosh are genuinely knowledgeable, patient, and attentive to trekkers' needs throughout.
  • Company handles logistics well: flights to Lukla, accommodation, food quality, and cultural immersion in Kathmandu included.
  • Weather can force trip adjustments; guides adapt itineraries but flexibility from trekkers required.
  • The trek itself delivers on the hype—genuinely life-changing scenery and an experience worth the physical effort.
