About this trip
This is Everest Base Camp for people who don't have the two-plus weeks the standard route needs. You trek up through the Khumbu, reach base camp on foot, then skip the multi-day walk back out by taking a helicopter straight to Kathmandu.
The trekking days give you the real thing — steep trails, Sherpa villages, and the Himalayas closing in around you as you climb. The heli return trades a few days of downhill walking for aerial views over the valleys and hills you've just crossed on foot.
It suits someone who wants to stand at base camp without committing to a full 16-day expedition, including families or those travelling privately with a guide.
