About this trip
This trek in the Dhading region takes you off the well-trodden trekking routes to the twin waterfalls of Ganga and Jamuna, a site with genuine religious significance for both Hindus and Buddhists.
You start in Kathmandu with sightseeing at the valley's UNESCO sites, then drive to Dhadingbesi to begin walking through rhododendron and pine forest, staying in villages like Jyamrung Danda and Karki Gaon along the way.
There are no teahouses on this route — you'll camp or stay with local families, moving through Tamang, Chhetri, Gurung, Magar and Brahmin communities with views of Ganesh Himal and Manaslu opening up as you climb.
