Lush Landscapes of Laos 13-Day

This 13-day route runs the length of Laos, from the temples and alms-giving ceremonies of Luang Prabang in the north down to the Mekong islands near the Cambodian border. It's a mix of old towns, river journeys, ethnic villages and a fair bit of jungle and limestone scenery along the way.

Expect a slow build through the north — caves, rice paddies, night markets, a jungle resort stay — before the pace picks up with kayaking and caving around Vang Vieng, then eases again into the coffee country of the Bolaven Plateau and the quiet river islands of the far south.

It's a long trip covering a lot of ground, so you'll see both Laos's cultural core and its wilder, less-visited corners, ending at the Khone Phapheng waterfall on the Mekong.
