Tour de Julian Alps | Hut-to-hut Trekking

Start & end in Bled 7 days Up to 2

About this trip

This is a hut-to-hut trek across the Julian Alps, walking from the eastern side of the range to the west along well-marked mountain trails. Expect green valleys, clear rivers and limestone peaks, with nights spent in mountain huts along the route.

It's self-guided, so you walk at your own pace with route notes to follow, and it's run as a private trip rather than joining a set group.

The route takes in some of the most scenic sections of the range, built around a crossing that's been walked by hundreds of hikers since the tour was first put together.

What you'll do

  • Walk hut-to-hut across the Julian Alps from east to west
  • Follow marked trails through green valleys and past limestone peaks
  • Stay overnight in traditional mountain huts
  • Cross some of the most scenic terrain in this part of Slovenia
Good to know
  • Self-guided — you walk the route independently using provided directions
  • Private trip with private room accommodation, not a fixed group departure
  • Moderate difficulty, but hut-to-hut trekking still means consecutive days on your feet with a pack
