About this trip
A short taste of the Everest region without committing to weeks on the trail. Five days takes you up through rivers, pine and rhododendron forest to Namche Bazaar, the gateway town to the high Himalaya, with views across to Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Cho Oyu along the way.
It's a moderate trek rather than an expedition, fully guided and paced for people who want a real Himalayan hiking experience without the altitude and time commitment of Base Camp.
You're walking through Sagarmatha National Park itself, a UNESCO World Heritage Site home to red panda and Himalayan black bear, though sightings are rare rather than expected.
