About this trip
This is a serious 19-day trip combining the classic Everest Base Camp trek with a technical climb up Island Peak (6,189m), starting and ending in Kathmandu.
You'll fly into Lukla and walk up through Sherpa villages like Namche Bazaar and Tengboche before reaching Everest Base Camp and the Kalapatthar viewpoint, with Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam all in view along the way.
The second half of the trip is the climb itself, moving up to Island Peak Base Camp and then summiting on fixed ropes over icy, slippery terrain — a proper mountaineering objective rather than just a long walk.
