About this trip
Twelve days through India's classic north, from the streets of Delhi to the Pink City of Jaipur, the Taj Mahal at Agra, and up into the hills at Shimla, once the summer capital of British India.
It mixes the big cultural sights with a proper change of scenery in the mountains, plus a ride on the narrow gauge Himalayan Queen Toy Train, so you get both the heat and history of the plains and the cooler pace of the hill station.
Fully guided throughout, in a group, so the logistics of moving between cities are handled for you.

- Guide Jusuf/Yusef was exceptional: knowledgeable, caring, kept everyone entertained and safe.
- Three to four shopping stops took significant time and weren't flagged clearly in the brochure.
- Hotels didn't match brochure photos and travel between cities was long, tiring stretches.
- Fast-paced itinerary covers huge ground; Shimla extension offers nice breather midway.
