Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Start & end in Kathmandu 9 days Up to 10

About this trip

This nine-day trek takes you into the Annapurna Sanctuary, up to Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130m, through a landscape of terraced fields, bamboo forests and Gurung villages. It suits people with limited time who still want proper high-mountain views without a long expedition.

You start with a road journey from Kathmandu to Pokhara, then on to Nayapul where the walking begins alongside the Modi Khola river. From there the trail climbs through Ghandruk and Chomrong into the sanctuary itself, with Machapuchare, Hiunchuli and Annapurna South rising close overhead.

Along the way you pass chortens and prayer flags reflecting the strong Tibetan Buddhist influence here, and get a close look at Gurung culture and traditional stone-and-timber architecture. Permits, accommodation and meals on the trek are arranged for you.
