Manaslu Circuit Trek

This trek takes you into the Manaslu region of Gorkha district, close to the Tibetan border, an area only opened to tourists in 1991 and still far quieter than the Everest or Annapurna trails. You walk the Budhi Gandaki Valley beneath Manaslu, the world's eighth-highest peak, alongside other giants like Himal Chuli and Ngadi Chuli.

Beyond the mountain scenery, this is a route through villages where Hindu and Tibetan Buddhist traditions sit side by side, including the old Tibetan settlement of Lho and, if you add the side-trip, the isolated Tsum Valley. The trek crosses the Larkya La Pass at 5106m on the Tibetan border before descending to Dharapani.

Sherpa Expedition Teams handle the logistics, including permits, accommodation and meals along the trail, so you can focus on the walking.
