About this trip

Ten days across two of India's most striking mountain regions, moving from the lakes and gardens of Kashmir up into the high-altitude landscapes of Ladakh.

You'll travel through Srinagar, Gulmarg and Sonmarg before crossing to Kargil, Leh and the Nubra Valley, taking in a real shift in scenery and altitude along the way.

This is a private, partially guided trip, so you'll have your own group's pace and space while still getting local guiding at the key stops.

What you'll do

  • Take in Srinagar's lakes and old city
  • See the alpine scenery around Gulmarg
  • Stop in Sonmarg on the way to Ladakh
  • Cross the route through Kargil
  • Explore Leh and its surrounding valleys
  • Visit the Nubra Valley
Good to know
  • Private trip, so it runs for your own group rather than joining strangers
  • Partially guided — some sections are guided, others more independent
  • Moderate pace with significant changes in altitude between Kashmir and Ladakh
