About this trip
A full day out in Pilanesberg National Park, set in the crater of a long-extinct volcano, tracking the Big Five with a guide who knows the terrain.
You'll head out on game drives with a real chance of spotting lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo, alongside giraffe, hippo, zebra and antelope. Lunch is taken overlooking a waterhole that draws plenty of passing wildlife.
No malaria here, and the park's volcanic geology and birdlife (over 300 species recorded) add another layer of interest if wildlife sightings are quieter than hoped.
