About this trip
This is a full circuit round the Annapurna massif, taking you from lower foothill villages up over the Thorong La pass at 5,416m and back down the other side. Fourteen days that move through river valleys, mixed mountain cultures, and genuinely high-altitude terrain.
You will feel the change in landscape and air as you climb — from terraced hills and rhododendron forest to stark, thin-air high country around the pass. Muktinath temple and a stop in Pokhara give you a breather either side of the hard trekking days, and Kathmandu bookends the trip with some cultural sightseeing.
This is a serious trek rather than a gentle walk. Crossing Thorong La is the physical heart of the trip and the reason people come.
