Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Chitwan National Park

This trip splits into two very different halves: a proper Himalayan trek to Annapurna Base Camp, followed by a few days in the subtropical lowlands of Chitwan National Park. You get both the high mountains and the jungle, along with the distinct cultures that go with each.

The trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and on to Nayapul, then follows trails through Gurung villages, forest and pastureland up to Annapurna Base Camp itself, with a stop at Poon Hill for mountain views along the way. Evenings are spent in teahouses, giving you a chance to talk with local families and see how life works in these hill communities.

From the mountains you head down to Chitwan, where the pace and scenery shift completely — elephant activities, a canoe trip on the river, and a good chance of spotting wildlife in a landscape that feels a world away from the Annapurna foothills.
