   Day 1 · BroomeBroome / Derby / Dimalurru (Tunnel Creek) / Windjana Gorge

   Start in Broome (Rubibi to the Yawuru people) and head inland through the Kimberley. Visit the Boab Prison Tree in Derby after crossing the Fitzroy River, browse an art gallery, then drive the Gibb River Road to Tunnel Creek. Explore the 750m cave system carved through the Napier Range, spotting stalactites, bats and freshwater crocodiles while learning about Jandamarra's story.

   Day 2 · Windjana Gorge National ParkWest Kimberley Gorges

   Walk beneath Windjana Gorge's walls in the 350-million-year-old Napier Range, looking for freshwater crocodiles and local birdlife. Afternoon drive to Bell Gorge (Dalmanyi), then hike the Bell Gorge Trail to Dalmanyi Falls, with the option to explore from the top or continue up the Falls Trail along the creek.

   Day 3 · Manning GorgeWest Kimberley Gorges

   Hike Manning Falls Trail starting with a river crossing, following the Manning River to the falls and a cool pool for swimming. Visit Galvans Gorge for another bushwalk and waterhole dip under the falls, then find Wandjina rock art on the surrounding rock walls before returning to camp.

   Day 4 · Mitchell PlateauMitchell Plateau

   Early start for a two-day Mitchell Plateau adventure. Drive 4WD-only terrain along the Kalumburu Road and Mitchell Plateau Track, crossing rivers and passing Livistonia palms before reaching camp on the plateau for dinner with other travellers.

   Day 5 · Mitchell PlateauMitchell Plateau

   Hike to Little and Big Merten Falls across rocky sandstone, waterholes and fern-lined caves. Swim in the plunge pools, see Gwion Gwion (Bradshaw) rock art and learn about native bush-tucker like Miiyani waterlily. Return to camp via scenic helicopter flight over the falls.

   Day 6 · Drysdale River National ParkDrysdale Station

   Travel to Drysdale River Station, a family-run cattle station with 10,000 head on a million-acre property. Explore the surroundings at your own pace or relax with a drink in the beer garden and warm yourself by the log fire.

   Day 7 · El QuestroGibb River Road / El Questro Wilderness Park

   Long driving day along the famous Gibb River Road, taking in Kimberley scenery and the rough track's jarring ride. Stop at Pentecost River Lookout to view the river floodplain and tabletop Cockburn Ranges, then settle into camp at El Questro for the evening.

   Day 8 · El QuestroEl Questro Wilderness Park

   Hike Emma Gorge Trail beneath a 120m cliff face of Cockburn and quartz sandstone, noting ripple markings in the rock from ancient tidal waters. Walk through Livistiona and pandanus palms to Zebedee Springs and explore the natural thermal rock pools. Afternoon free for optional Chamberlain Gorge cruises, bush tucker walks or bird watching.

   Day 9 · KununurraKununurra / Lake Argyle

   

   Drive to Kununurra with free time to browse shops, galleries and local cafes. Optional visits to the Hoochery distillery or Zebra Rock Gallery. Afternoon travel to Lake Argyle, the Ord River Irrigation System's centrepiece, with time to explore and optionally swim in the infinity pool.

    Day 10 · Lake ArgyleLake Argyle

    Free day at Lake Argyle. Options include visiting Durack Homestead Museum, doing the bluff hike, or taking a sunset boat cruise. Dinner available at the holiday park's restaurant.

    Day 11 · Purnululu National ParkPurnululu National Park (Bungle Bungles)

    

    Leisurely morning before heading to Purnululu National Park and the Bungle Bungles, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for orange and black striped beehive domes shaped by rivers over 20 million years. Settle into a private permanent tented camp with views of the Bungles Massif and night sky.

    Day 12 · Purnululu National ParkPurnululu National Park (Bungle Bungles)

    Explore Cathedral Gorge with its natural amphitheatre acoustics, then continue the Cathedral Gorge Trail. Optional scenic helicopter flight over the beehive domes. Visit Echidna Chasm to walk the steep-sided gorge with glowing orange and red walls, taking in panoramic Osmand Range views.

    Day 13 · Halls CreekChina Wall / Fitzroy Crossing

    Travel to Fitzroy Crossing via the China Wall near Halls Creek, a natural white limestone formation resembling a miniature Great Wall of China. Optional lunch stop at Mary's Pool. Fitzroy Crossing sits on the Martuwarra (Fitzroy River) in a valley home to over 40 Aboriginal communities across five language groups.

14. 14
    Day 14 · Fitzroy CrossingFitzroy Crossing / Broome

    Join a Darlgunya Cultural Walk with a local indigenous guide through the old postal settlement and down to the Fitzroy Riverbanks, learning about the river's ecology and cultural significance. Enjoy lunch on the way, then drive back to Broome where the trip ends.
