About this trip
This is a long, ground-based safari across five of Uganda's major parks plus a crossing into Rwanda, built for people who don't mind covering serious distance to see serious wildlife. Expect long drives between destinations, broken up by game drives, treks and boat trips.
You'll move through Kidepo's remote, rocky wilderness, the falls and river life of Murchison, the game-rich plains of Queen Elizabeth, Kibale's forest, and Bwindi's mountain gorillas, before finishing in Rwanda with mountain scenery and a city tour of Kigali covering its history.
It's a physically demanding itinerary rather than a relaxed lodge safari — there's a hike to the top of Murchison Falls, gorilla and chimp tracking, and plenty of time on the road.
