About this trip
Fourteen days riding mountain bikes through some of Nepal's most varied terrain, from the warm lowlands of the Terai up through the mid-hills and into the high alpine air around the Annapurna range.
You follow river valleys and cross over into new ones, pedalling below some of the world's biggest mountains and through villages where rural life has changed little over the centuries.
It's a physical way to see the country, and one that takes you well off the main tourist routes into places where the welcome is straightforward and the food is properly local.
What you'll do
- Ride sections of the classic Annapurna Circuit route
- Climb from subtropical valleys into high alpine terrain
- Pass through traditional highland villages rarely visited by tourists
- Follow river valleys beneath some of the world's highest peaks
- Eat home-style Nepali food along the way
- Partially guided, so expect some sections ridden with more independence
- Altitude and terrain make this a physically demanding trip, not a casual ride
- Suits confident cyclists rather than complete beginners
