About this trip
Ten days across two countries, moving through some of East Africa's best-known safari ground. You cover the Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti, so there's a real sense of the wilderness changing as you go.
Camping is part of the deal here, so expect a hands-on, close-to-nature style of travel rather than lodge comfort every night. There's also a stop at Olduvai Gorge, where some of the earliest human remains were found, adding a bit of history to the wildlife-watching.

Worth it if you're flexible on itinerary changes and prepared for basic tent accommodation in Tanzania. Think twice if you've booked specific parks or expect luxury throughout.
- Wildlife sightings consistently strong: lions, rhinos, elephants, Big Five, migration scenes across Mara and Serengeti.
- Guide quality makes or breaks it—standout guides like Kaka, Jackson, Graham, Maxwell kept groups engaged and safe.
- Itinerary changes happen on arrival with no advance notice; parks swapped, end location changed, accommodation downgrades unavoidable.
- Tanzania accommodation is basic tented camps with potential issues (insects, drainage, bats); Kenya lodges better. Upgrade early if needed.
