About this trip
Eleven nights running from Venice to Rome to the Amalfi Coast and finishing on Santorini, mixing Italy's classic historic cities with a few days unwinding on a Greek island. It's a private trip with some guided elements built in, so you get the key sights covered without being tied to a big group.
You start with three nights in Venice, getting lost in the canals and taking a gondola ride, before two nights in Rome for the big ancient sites. From there it's the train down to Naples, using it as a base to reach the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii, then a flight over to Santorini for three nights of whitewashed villages and sunset views to close things out.
Hotels throughout are 4-star, and the pace is easy rather than rushed, though you do move base four times across the 11 days.
